Terms of delivery of DHL shipments in Latvia

Depending on the type of service chosen by the sender, the ordered goods from foreign online stores can also be delivered to Smartpost parcel terminals or Smartpost parcel points (Narvesen) although you have indicated your home or work address when ordering the goods.

If the sender has provided sufficient shipment data (exact recipient’s address and contact phone number), as well as the package size is appropriate, the shipment is automatically sorted to the nearest Smartpost location.

In order to avoid situations where you, as the recipient, definitely want the parcel delivery to the specified address, but the parcel is still forwarded to the parcel delivery point, please specify the terms of the delivery service by contacting the sender before making the purchase.

As soon as the shipment is received in Latvia, we will direct it to delivery:

  • before the delivery you will receive a courier call or text message (SMS), if the delivery will be by courier to the address. If you are not present at the time of delivery and the courier is not able to contact you, a notice of attempted delivery will be left in your mailbox, or a text message will be sent. For repeated delivery, please contact us by filling in the application on the website
  • a text message (SMS) will be sent to your mobile phone about the withdrawal of the parcel if the parcel is placed in the Smartpost terminal or parcel point. A unique PIN code will be sent to you via SMS, as well as the address of the Smartpost location and instructions for receiving the shipment. Please pick up your shipment as soon as possible, but no later than within 7 calendar days. Unclaimed shipments are returned to shippers after the specified number of storage days.

If you have additional questions or concerns about the delivery process, please contact our Customer Service Specialists, who will provide you with support and help you find a solution to your situations. Our Customer Service contacts can be found in the Contacts section.
